The crew working on the problem with the cloudy water has informed the utility office that the water is now clear and everything has returned to a normal state of operation.
There is a small problem on Center and Union within the Village this morning. Therefore, your water may be running a little cloudy. We will keep you updated as work continues.
The Memorial Day Parade this year will begin at 10:00 a.m. at Emil Davis Park and end at Amvets.
On May 5th from 9:00 a.m. to noon and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., come to the Lakeview Water and Light office to get your free Compact Fluorescent Light Bulbs (CFLs) from Efficiency Smart and the Lakeview Water and Light Company! Must be an electric customer of the Lakeview Water and Light Company to be eligible for free CFLs.
The new Lakeview Fire Department will be an all steel structure that will be 80' x 150' and will be located at 540 North Main Street in Lakeview beside the Electric Storage Building. There will be four drive-thru bays and one single bay. The engineer for the project is Mike Heintz of Heintz Engineering. The project bid opening was held in January and the project was awarded to general contract Robinson Building Solutions in Bellefontaine, Ohio for $876,960.00. The village received ten bids. The project will be financed through Osgood State Bank here in Lakeview and will be paid for with .5% income tax money that was voted on in the last election held in November, 2015. The building will not only house the trucks but have offices, a communication room, a fitness room, and a meeting/training room. The entire project is expected to be completed by November, 2016.
